We met her again on a spring day in Tokyo, where soft pink cherry blossoms were in full bloom — two years after she first posed in front of Urbanic's camera with such quiet elegance. A day spent with Sena, whose gentle smile is as beautiful as ever, and her daughter Ao, who has just turned four months old.
All clothing, shoes, bag, belt, and silver jewelry are from Urbanic.
U: Please briefly introduce yourself.
S: My name is Sena, and I work as a model in Tokyo. I recently turned twenty-three and have become a mother, so lately I've been focusing on raising my daughter. She was born on December 5, 2025, three days after my birthday. Ao feels like the greatest birthday gift I've ever received — she is our most precious treasure.
U: We heard that your daily life has changed significantly.
S: My life has completely shifted to revolve around my child. It's no longer easy to spend time at my own pace like before, and the way I use my time and set priorities has changed a lot. Those little things I used to do — taking my time getting ready, staying out all night with friends, long baths, sleeping in — they just don't happen anymore. Instead, every moment has become incredibly precious, and I now feel a deeper sense of love and responsibility than I ever did before. There are times when it feels like too much, but just seeing my daughter's face makes everything feel worth it.
U: After becoming a mother, is there anything new you’ve discovered about yourself?
S: I feel that I've become warmer toward others, while also finding a strength to protect what matters. I've also learned to respect others' opinions and to offer suggestions in a way that considers them, rather than pushing my own ideas. Above all, I've realized that I'm capable of loving someone this deeply. I always thought of myself as someone who wasn't very loving, so even I'm surprised by this change. These days, even the most ordinary moments — and simply being alive — feels like a miracle.
U: Has becoming a mother changed how you dress or your everyday style?
S: There isn't a big difference between when I'm with my child and when I'm alone. Even if it means a little inconvenience, I want to wear what I like and spend that time happily with her. That way I can stay true to myself, and it naturally puts me in a better mood. On days with my child, I also often match our outfits in similar colors.
U: Is there a place or moment in your current city where you feel most like yourself?
S: I think the time I spend at home feels the most like me. There's a park right next to our house, so I can see it through the window and often hear the joyful sounds of children playing. From another window, I can see a large tree stretching upward. It's the space where I feel most at ease.
At night, when my child is asleep, I like to put on some soft music, watch her sleep, and slowly enjoy a drink or coffee in the tatami room — those are moments I truly love.
U: What does 'family' mean to you?
S: Because we overcome difficult times together and share happiness over a long period of time, I believe family is something irreplaceably precious. It's also fascinating how two people, not related by blood, can grow closer over time and form such a deep connection.
U: As a mother, what values do you hope your child will grow up with?
S: I hope she becomes someone who cherishes both herself and the people around her — and someone who can pass on the love she receives to others. That's the meaning I put into her name, Ao (逢緒), which carries the meaning of connecting people to one another. It may sound simple, but that's exactly why I hope she holds onto it.
U: What was your favorite item from today's shoot with Urbanic?
S: My favorite was the Short Hunting Jacket. I really loved its silhouette and vintage feel — it suited my taste perfectly. I also loved the Cuisine Pants I wore with it, and I kept thinking how nice it would be to wear this exact look in everyday life.
