ART&CRAFT
- Introducing 'Art & Craft,' a new collection curated by Urbanic, from unique collaborations with artists around the world. 'Art & Craft' introduces handcrafted creations that embody Urbanic’s philosophy of cherishing precious things that are fading away.
DOHERTY PORCELAIN
UK-based ceramist Jack Doherty works with the intense fusion of kiln heat, soda, and clay to produce
unique porcelain. His pieces are distinguished by their faded color, bright luster, and one-of-a-kind,
hand-beaten textures. He believes in the power of 'beautiful, functional everyday objects,' captivating many
with his rustic yet refined creations. Simple, bold forms and a distinctive soda-fired surface are his signature.
CARLOS PENAFIEL
Chilean-born French artist Carlos Anibal Penafiel creates delicate and original leather objects
inspired by organic forms and silhouettes of the human body. In 1986, in collaboration with Pierre Cardin,
he created leather shoes modeled after the human foot, inspired by René Magritte's surrealist paintings,
and has since been widely loved for his collaborations with fashion brands.
MATHILDE MARTIN CERAMIC
French ceramist Mathilde Martin uses clay from the soil of Bourgogne that bestow peace and harmony
upon a space, offering a warm sense of solace. Her works, which range from sculptural vases to elegant
lighting objects, are known for their organic forms, rich textures, and subtle color palettes.
Following her philosophy, 'Design guided by time, material, and hands,' she creates ceramics that
showcase raw, delicate traces of the hand, uneven thickness, and a shifting luster that plays with the light.
NURIA MARIA
Dutch artist Nuria Maria was born into an artistic family and naturally grew into her creative practice.
Moving between Rotterdam and the quiet countryside, she continues her work with a steady focus. Her abstract
paintings draw from weather, light, and seasonal shifts, translating these subtle changes into layered compositions.
Through a calm observation of nature, she builds depth with color, leaving a refined and lasting impression on the canvas.
