Flowers by EriN Design

Flowers by EriN Design INTL

EriN Design INTL, a flower design studio based in New York and led by Eriko Nagata, actively showcases works that bring out the unique beauty of each flower, ranging from large-scale installations for fashion shows, gala dinners, and parties to delicate floral arrangements. With the motto 'A journey into the floral design,' EriN Design INTL designs the beauty of nature and modernity. For Urbanic, they have completed a piece that combines the rich colors and velvety textures of dahlias and cockscomb.

Hope you enjoy this beautiful piece.

U. What is your design philosophy and Where do you go in New York to find inspiration?
E. My design philosophy is to create beauty that is both natural and modern, inspired by the simple yet elegant forms of nature, my own sensibilities, and the fantasy stories I read as a child. I also draw inspiration from my passion for nature and art, which is reflected in my use of natural materials and organic forms in my designs.
To find inspiration in New York, I love to visit Central Park. It's a beautiful oasis in the middle of the city, and it's always full seasonal branches. I also enjoy exploring New York that combines historic and modern architecture throughout the city.

U. What is this flower you used to express your feeling about our brand ‘Urbanic30’ and why did you pick this flower?
E. I used amaranths and dahlias in rich colors and velvety textures to represent the modernity and elegance of Urbanic30.

U. In the Flower Arrangement for Urbanic 30, are there specific details that you find particularly like and appealing?
E. I like the rich color of the dahlias and the velvety texture of the amaranth, which complement each other beautifully.
Grouping the dahlias closely together creates a sense of drama and movement in the arrangement and The composition effect is reminiscent of a floating castle of flowers.

U. Are there differences between the flowers that surrounded you in Japan, compared to New York flowers?
E. Generally, I find that the flowers in Japan are more delicate and refined than the flowers in New York. In New York, there are many types of wild seasonal branches, grasses, and flowers on the market that are not commonly available in Japanese markets. We also receive flowers from all over the world. Despite these differences, I am grateful for the opportunity to work with flowers from all over the world, and I enjoy creating arrangements that reflect the unique beauty of each flower.
