Jina Park, Seoul

Jina Park is a florist who is receiving love calls from various brands for her flower arrangements, which feel both natural and meticulously handcrafted. She posed for Urbanic with works featuring soft, romantic colors. She paired Urbanic’s Winter Kiri Knit, which has stitching details as a focal point, and simple classic clogs made of leather with her usual jeans.

U. Could you introduce yourself?
J. Hello, I’m Jina Park (@heandji). My family consists of my dad, mom, younger brother, cat named Chamchi, and dog named Bakha.

U. How would you define your style in two words?
J. Understated, comfortable.

U. Could you share some fashion items that you consider your "classics"?
J. The item I wear all year round, regardless of the season, is comfortable jeans that don’t fit too tightly. I’ve loved both summer and winter since I was young, but for different reasons. I love summer because I can freely dive into the water under the hot sun, and I love winter purely because of the clothes. I adore the sea, sunlight, and winter clothing. My wardrobe is mostly filled with knits, sweaters, coats, and scarves, which I wear almost exclusively throughout winter.

U. What are you most interested in these days?
J. My greatest interest these days is furniture, especially original vintage pieces. Beautiful objects, crafted with great skill and care, seem to shine even brighter as time goes by. I love valuing and cherishing old, beautiful things. I enjoy spending my time visiting various places to see these items, studying them, and, when I find a piece that really speaks to me, purchasing it as if it were fate.

U. What is the most recent item you purchased?
J. A Max Mara long black coat made of 100% camel wool, which I can wear even as a silver-haired grandmother.

U. Can you share some of your favorite places to visit?
J. When I want to enjoy truly great coffee in Seoul, I visit Space 21s in Cheongdam-dong. In Paris, when I lived there, I used to walk every day in Parc Monceau, a small but beautiful park near my home.

U. How has your job as a florist influenced your fashion?
J. I find myself increasingly drawn to clothes that allow for easy movement while I work. Yet, I can’t give up on items with beautiful details that make me feel good. I like pieces that carry such details, even if it’s just one aspect of the item.
